As the School Counselor at Amery Intermediate School, I help all students with social/emotional development, career development and strength finding, and provide academic support. I believe that all children are special and unique, and it is important for every student to realize his/her strengths and unique ways of learning and growing.
Every other week, students participate in guidance classes where they learn skills to help them better understand themselves and how they relate to others. Students also will participate in small groups and individual sessions as needed. As the counselor, my goal is to be part of each student's school life, and I strive to enhance students' social and academic experiences. I will help support and empower students to continually grow, learn, and become responsible citizens and lifelong learners. I believe in positive decision making and will help students understand the power of their decisions and how to make positive choices in their social, personal, and academic lives.
